It's been an interesting week filled with lots of opportunities from some unexpected sources. I've got quite a few theatre visits scheduled in for January for The Stage plus a reading of Claudio Macor's new play Savage Over at the Poor School at Kings Cross. By far and away the biggest event of this week has been the start of my new weekend job in Ewell West. It's good to be back in an office environment again - or in this cases reception - and the staff are all lovely.
It's a good six mile cycle away and I must say it' sexually great to be back on the bike again. As much as I lovely cycling, it becomes a bit of an epic to get into the West End for a show (including my gym or cycling kit). At least this job means a 24 mile round-trip every week, which is a welcome addition to the exercise regime. What's that? About 1800 so MapMyRIde tells me.
Next week looks just as interesting incorporating a visit with Sean to Brighton to have dinner with Rob and Laine, the folks we met whilst on holiday last August. We hit it off quite well and have decided to stay in touch.
Wednesday is a visit to the Royal Opera House to see the ballet Two Pigeons. This was one of my Christmas presents to Sean, as he had spoken warmly a couple of times about the ballet and I noticed that it was being revived. Naturally my budget means that out seats are practically in Henrietta Street but that shouldn't be a problem.
Thursday I'll be legging it over to Wimbledon to see the tour of Shrek, which I'm quite looking forward to and then Friday it's Alright Bitches, which as you may have guessed, is the new show at Above The Stag. Hopefully I'll get to hit my exercise quota in between all that. Fingers crossed.
